Mike and I decided to take a little BabyMoon to Palm Springs this past Memorial Day weekend. With the growing concern of the Zika virus, we were a little discouraged that we couldn't take one more "relaxing" vacation before the baby came... but that turned out to be far from the truth. We live in LA, so it's a quick drive to Palm Springs... and it was such a nice little get-away! I will say that between the heat and gluttony we indulged in, I was definitely loving the pool...

We chose to stay at The Avalon Palm Springs because they have these cute bungalows you can stay in... it was like having our own little casita in the desert. And the decor was...wait for it... black and white! So I instantly fell in love.

It was so nice to get away and not worry about much! We literally ate some amazing meals and relaxed by the pool everyday. We thought we had to go to a tropical place to do this, but we really just needed good food, drinks (for Mike don't freak out!), and each other. The scenery was an added bonus. We had massages at the spa in the hotel, to top it off and it was glorious!

We definitely had some great laughs and made some memories while we were on our little vacay. I'm so glad we snuck off to the desert and got this time together before your little one arrives. I really recommend taking the time to do so... and do not let Zika stop you! Just go somewhere that it's not a threat and I promise, it will be a trip of a lifetime!
